Full-Time Financial Administrator
Winfree Church is seeking applicants for the position of Financial Administrator.
This person will be a key member of the church staff, helping Winfree fulfill its mission of loving God, serving others, and sharing Christ by providing excellent financial administration. The church is healthy, and the staff is long-tenured. While the Financial Administrator will not be expected to become a member of Winfree, this person must reflect the highest of Christian values and character and be fully engaged and supportive of the mission and life of Winfree Church. A positive attitude, a servant outlook, and genuine support of other staff and the ministries is the standard among staff. The ability to maintain confidentiality is critical. This position reports to the senior pastor and works closely with the church treasurer and the stewardship committee.
This position carries the primary responsibility for deposits, bills, and providing timely and accurate reports. This includes tasks such as balancing multiple bank accounts, tracking contributions for members, assisting with annual budget preparation, and working with church leadership in budget tracking, maintaining personnel records, serving as contact person for employee benefits, submitting payroll and tax information to the accounting firm which issues payroll checks, and serving as backup to the Office Manager. This is a full-time position with benefits, including health care, life insurance, vacation and other items specified in the church Personnel Policy. Pay commensurate with work experience. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00. A secure office and equipment are provided.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
- preferably 5+ years experience or 3+ working in a church setting
- proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to learn the church software system,
- ability to be bonded and serve as a notary
- strong administrative skills and ability to work independently and accurately
- communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
