Winfree Memorial Baptist Church is seeking an individual with a maintenance background to fill a part-time position as Facilities Manager.
The Part-Time Facilities Manager (PTFM) position will perform ongoing maintenance and minor repairs on the church buildings and grounds.
The PTFM will work directly with the Property and Space Committee to accomplish proper building maintenance. The PTFM position will report to the Chairman of the Property and Space Committee for maintenance and repair duties and to the Senior Pastor, in coordination with the Personnel Committee for all personal issues.
Major Job Responsibilities
A. Areas of responsibility:
Ministry Activities Center and new building
Educational and office areas
Storage areas and buildings
B. General maintenance work requirements in buildings:
Make minor repairs to doors, windows, cabinets, floors, etc.
Add touchup paint and make cosmetic repairs
Perform minor plumbing repairs
Replace light bulbs and fixtures as required
Perform minor installation projects
Perform minor carpentry projects
Maintain proper storage of chemicals, paint, and consumables
Keep all storage facilities and areas clean and organized
C. General maintenance work requirements on grounds:
Perform minor projects on playgrounds, fencing, etc.
Perform minor tree branch and debris removal
D. Administrative and coordinative work requirements:
Maintain a list of needed and completed repairs
Inspect all church property facilities regularly (2-3 times weekly)
Coordinate periodic window cleaning
All work will be performed through a work order system. The PTFM will receive work orders from the Chairman of the Property and Space Committee and/or staff. The Chairman will determine and assign the priority of each work order, either based on his sole discretion or through a join decision with the PTFM. The only exception to this process is a PTFM self-generated work order. If, during the performance of his duties, the PTFM notices a small maintenance or repair need, he may generate a work order, perform the task, and report same to the Chairman of the Property and Space Committee. Safety issues have top priority.
E. Physical abilities:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Must be able to climb ladders
Job Skills and Requirements:
Ability to have cordial working relationship with members and staff of WMBC
Possesses a general knowledge of building maintenance, general carpentry, and plumbing skills
Be able to maintain a flexible work schedule in accordance with church needs
Must pass general background check
The PTFM position works independently and requires, self-motivation, accountability for time and expenses, and integrity. There is an expectation of reasonable effort put forth to maintain the church’s facilities. The maintenance person should constantly look for small projects and repairs above those instructed to him by the Chairman of the Property and Space Committee.

Pay: $15,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year
