FRIENDS OF THE HOMELESS
Richmond Friends of the Homeless was formed in 1986 to strengthen and enrich
the community life of the disadvantaged and homeless in Richmond, Virginia. Winfree supports this ministry each month with emergency lunches, hygiene kits and bottled water.
BACKPACK MINISTRY
The Backpack Ministry provides weekend meal support for students and their families. This ministry serves 225 people representing 53 families across 7 schools. Our focus is on serving students and families who have food insecurity.
HOW CAN I HELP?
1. Be a grocery shopper.
2. Deliver bags of food to schools.
3. Pack bags of food for families in need.
NEEDLES & HOOKS
This group meets once a month once a month, making handmade items like shawls, blankets, and even prayer squares to donate to local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
